Computer Aided Styling for Product Designers course (Duration: 40 Hours)

Computer Aided Styling (CAS) helps product designers create, modify and analyze free form and aesthetically pleasing surfaces and shapes for consumer products. The CAS software comes with advanced analysis capabilities to ensure that a design’s aesthetic aspect meets the standards of usage and ergonomics. CAS tools have high performance rendering and visualization capabilities to produce 3D forms.





This course equips students to turn out fast concept design and modelling. It teaches them the methods of creating sketches, generating curves from sketches, and surfaces from curves. It imparts training in shape analysis. The course offers projects on modelling consumer products from sketches using AutoDesk’s Alias software.

Scope

CAS modellers are in great demand in all consumer product companies, and independent product designing & styling agencies. They work as designers at design offices and corporate design departments. They get jobs in advertising and are hired even for commercial jobs with the responsibilities of marketing, and brand building through product design.

Eligibility

Pass in any diploma course or bachelor’s degree. Suitable for engineering students.
